Trucks & Cars

I very often incorporate images of machinery and automobiles into my art work. I am particularly fascinated by the way these hunks of metal, plastic and rubber surround and protect us while in their own way are still vulnerable to being damaged, destroyed and forgotten. Here is one piece I just did this last year,

Title: End of the Line
Medium: Woodcut
Year: 2007

This is by no means the first of the automobiles I have used as imagery in my art work... here are a couple of older prints I incorporated wrecked cars, trucks and farm equipment.

Title: End of the Line (my apologies for such a crappy image!)
Medium: Etching on copper
Year: 2004

Title: Harvest
Medium: Etching on copper
Year: 2004

Title: The Beef Trust
Medium: Linocut
Year: 2004

Title: The Death of Haydn
Medium: Woodcut
Year: 2004

Awesome mezo art for cars and trucks. These should be on a museum for all to see.

It's amazing how these illustrations were given life by methodical shading. The tractor wins the contest for me.
