National Ag Day

Hey all, I know this is a little off subject from the art I usually post - but I wanted to take a quick second to post a reminder about National Agriculture Day, March 20th. I must admit, at times, I have taken for granted the services agriculture plays in all our lives - very sad considering I grew up in an ag producing family! Before you take a bit of your next meal, or as you pick up that item in the supermarket - I would ask that you all take a moment to remember the men and women - both from this country as well as from others, who work to raise and deliver the food we have here in this country. Check out this site for more information about agriculture in the United States, http://www.agday.org/index.php

Thanks a lot for your time

New Work

Here are some new works people. Much has been happening on this side of the Mountains, seems with the on come of Spring the work load increases exponentially. On top of all the orchard work, this year I have art going up in not only the Pratt Art Institutes Juried Exhibition in April (press release to come) but I am also preparing for my up coming solo show (October 2010, www.somespace.com).

These pieces have been inspired by recent thoughts of mans struggle to tame nature. Here are some pieces I have been putting together in the last few weeks. These are ink drawings on stretched paper. The 'Alligator Wrestler' is drawn on the cover plate to an old freezer locked away in my basement. The piece 'I'm no horseman' is pen and ink on art board
